Examining key design considerations for unified financing in California.
The Health Economics and Evaluation Research (HEER) Program, along with partners at UCLA, UC Irvine, and RAND, is currently writing a report for the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) on key design considerations for unified financing in California.
Nadereh Pourat, PhD, associate director at UCLA CHPR and director of the HEER Program, is leading the multi-institutional team of researchers in the development of a report that will examine key aspects of unified financing, including reducing administrative burden, identifying provider payment methodologies, addressing inequities, improving access, and identifying the role of health plans.
The report will be published in early 2025.
