Using data from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS), this report examines variations in the prevalence of obesity, as well as income and racial/ethnic disparities, between 2001 and 2011-2012. It also examines health behaviors related to obesity and neighborhood environmental factors that can contribute to or mitigate obesity risk.
