Lai was previously a publication information representative at UCLA CHPR. Prior to that, she worked in newsrooms at The Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register, editing, reporting, and drawing infographics.
She has a bachelor of arts in communications-news from Cal State Fullerton and a minor in economics. Lai has a certificate in data visualization for journalists from the Knight Digital Media Center at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.
Venetia Lai is the publications manager at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR). Lai oversees editing and production of research publications, including policy briefs, fact sheets, and infographics. She assists the public information officer with press materials for UCLA CHPR's print and online publications and the communications director with in-house communications projects.
