Sydney Pike is a junior analyst for the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Data Policy Lab at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR). Pike assists with the development of NHPI social drivers of health data platform. Her duties include identifying relevant data sources, data cleaning, producing data visualizations, and assisting in creating community data trainings.
Prior to joining the NHPI Data Policy Lab, Pike was an intern for the Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE), advocating for AAPI civic engagement opportunities and voting rights. She also interned with Senator Alex Padilla’s Los Angeles District Office and the City of Long Beach City Manager’s Office, gaining experience in legislative policy analysis, research initiatives, and budget analysis.
Pike graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in environmental systems and society. She also has an associate of arts in political science from Cypress College.
