Shreya Paul, MPA, is a research data manager for the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Data Policy Lab at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Paul analyzes data obtained from various surveys to derive and present accurate key statistics about the NHPI communities. Her duties include developing data dashboards, reports, and articles highlighting the needs of the NHPI community.
Before this role, Paul worked in the field of disability policy research. In that capacity, she bridged the gap between producers and consumers of disability statistics by generating data reports and dashboards derived from nationally representative survey data. She also conducted quantitative and qualitative research on the employment and health-related experiences of people with disabilities. Paul’s expertise includes data collection using surveys and focus groups and analysis using a variety of software tools. She also led the creation, distribution, and evaluation of a publicly accessible disability statistics curriculum.
Shreya earned her MPA from Indiana University and a graduate certificate in data science from the University of New Hampshire.
