Parneet Ghuman, MPH, is the Data Access Center coordinator for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). Ghuman is responsible for administering access to survey data from CHIS, organizing Data Disclosure Review Committee meetings, and providing technical assistance to CHIS users.
In her previous role, Ghuman completed research and assessment activities for San Diego State University’s Office of Housing Administration. Specifically, she supported evidence-based decision-making within her department by designing surveys and focus groups to better understand students’ experiences living on campus. Ghuman also worked as a contractor with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she provided subject matter expertise for reporting healthcare-associated infection data into the National Healthcare Safety Network surveillance system.
Ghuman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned bachelor's degrees in public health sciences and sociology. She also has a master's degree in public health with a concentration in global health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
