Flor Vásquez, MPA, is the administrator of the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). Vásquez ensures compliance of contract terms for CHIS projects; coordinates and manages contract deliverables; and provides ongoing public relations and communications with the CHIS advisory board members, partners, survey respondents, researchers, and other Center departments.
Prior to working at the Center, Vásquez was the bilingual administrative assistant for the Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) Program at UCLA, where she worked with low-income, minority, immigrant staff from different industries, health promoters, unions, community organizations, and governmental representatives. Before that, she was the administrative assistant for the UCLA Early Care & Education Department.
Vásquez holds an associate of arts degree in liberal arts from Santa Monica College; a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from California State University, Chico; and a master’s degree in public administration from Cal State Dominguez Hills.
